The S&P 500 closed at a record high on Wednesday up 1%, its best month since 2020. Chipmakers climbed for the 16th consecutive day, the longest winning streak ever recorded. Bitcoin rallied.

Because Trump extended the Iran ceasefire and the Strait of Hormuz reopened.

Markets are essentially a golden retriever at this point. Scary news appears → markets panic. Scary news pauses → markets sprint back to all-time highs, tail wagging. We are all just watching the damn dog.

Google confirmed this week that 75% of all new code at Google is now written by AI- up from 50% last year. 

Some engineers now have AI productivity goals baked into their performance reviews.
