💡From Bengauluru to Bayswater- everything that happened this week that bloomberg won’t make interesting.

Good morning. Happy Day. Let’s get into it.
I’ve been thinking a lot this week about how quickly things that felt permanent stop being permanent. Jobs. Brands. BFFs. The assumption that your Nutella will always taste exactly the same. Turns out none of it is guaranteed..

This week:
Nutella’s first new flavor in 60 years. A new health study that changes how we think about vitamin D. A hotel in London with a magnesium pool. A Louis Vuitton hotel that may charge €10,000 a night. A safari camp in Africa with resident rhinos and cold plunges together.. tf??And the story nobody in Indian media is covering enough.
QUICK BITES:
Food🍫: Nutella just launched its first new flavor in over 60 years. It’s Peanut.
Nutella Peanut is real. It launched this week and I’ve been thinking about it more than I’d like to admit. The formula: same hazelnut cocoa base, roasted peanuts added in.
They kept the hazelnuts. Smart.

60 years of one flavor, then this. Ferrero says fans have been asking for it for years- which is true, I’ve seen the comments on IG– and they finally delivered. What I find genuinely interesting isn’t the product itself, it’s what it says about a brand that has been essentially untouchable for six decades finally deciding to move.
That takes either a lot of confidence or a lot of data. Probably both.
If you’re a subscriber from New York (bc I know a lot of you are ❤ ) and in the city on May 16–17, there’s a pop-up in NoHo at 372 Lafayette Street. Free sandwiches, games, prizes.
The line will be long. The weight gain will be real. Go anyway.

Health: Vitamin D may significantly boost chemotherapy.
A new study found women who took vitamin D alongside chemotherapy were far more likely to reach complete remission. Small study- talk to your doctor, not me.
But if larger trials replicate this, it changes what we consider basic supportive cancer care. Worth knowing about.
Also this week: researchers identified a possible “switch” in the brain that determines whether your cancer can be cured.
Early findings, but significant for anyone who’s been told to just live with it.

Luxury: The Louis Vuitton Hotel is coming to the Champs-Élysées. Rates may start at €10,000 a night.
The building at 103 Champs-Élysées has been wrapped in a giant LV monogram trunk since construction began. It’s not subtle. It’s also extremely on brand for a house that turned luggage into a religion.

Louis Vuitton is returning it to hospitality after a hundred-year detour. During construction the entire façade was wrapped in a giant LV trunk. I love this for them.
The CEO calls it “the most spectacular view in the world.” He’s probably not wrong.
No confirmed opening date yet. A small number of ultra-luxury suites, restaurant, spa, exhibition spaces.
Industry estimates: €10,000 a night. This is not for everyone. It’s probably not for most people reading this. And yet here I am.. curious af.

Tech 💻 : AI is dismantling India’s middle class. I don’t think we’re talking about it enough.
Most Indian parents tell their kids to study hard so they could get an IT job. That plan worked for a generation- it funded homes, school fees, holidays, everything that looked like progress. I grew up watching it happen all around me.

Now AI is dismantling exactly that promise, and the hiring freezes at India’s biggest tech firms aren’t making front pages the way they should.
High-paying software roles are being automated and the companies aren’t announcing it. They’re just not posting the jobs. The offers are just not arriving.
An entire aspirational class, built around one industry quietly shutting down.
I think about this a lot. And I think it deserves a much louder conversation than it’s currently getting.
